The day was initiated with a ceremonial defile in the centre of Dubrovnik, which included a marching band that led the IPA to the theatre where the opening ceremony was held. The opening ceremony included speeches from IPA President Pierre-Martin Moulin, IPA Croatia President Miljenko Vidak, the Mayor of Dubrovnik, and more. The ceremony also included performances of traditional Croatian music and dances. Following the opening ceremony in the theatre, attendees gathered for the official photo for the 64th World Congress on the famous stairs in the centre of the Old Town.

The IPA then gathered to attend a joint lunch in a beautiful restaurant that felt both sophisticated and privatised - a perfect location for a meal and social time between IPA friends!
