First-ever Police Day in China

09 Feb 2021

10 January 2021, under a resolution of China’s government, was set as the first Chinese people’s Police Day for the appreciation and recognition of the efforts on public safety and well-being of all police force members.

This resolution undoubtedly reflects the great importance and attention of the government towards the national police force. It is of great significance to enhance the sense of belonging and pride of the officers to their force.

To celebrate this big occasion, Gui Zhang, who is an active Chinese police officer and a foreign associate of IPA Section Macau, contributed two carvings to the force, having used a carving knife as a pen to inscribe this impressive calligraphy on a stone tablet.

The printed works express his enthusiasm and gratitude as a police officer!
