IPA Mozambique has made the following statement regarding their situation:

“Dear Colleagues and Friends of IPA.

IMG-20190319-WA0078The situation in Central Mozambique, more concretely in the Provinces of Sofala, Manica, Tete and Zambezia is catastrophic, in the City of Beira we have the Provincial Command, Training School of Police Sergeants, District CommandIMG-20190319-WA0082s and Police Stations, destroyed and / or affected severely by Cyclone IDAI, in these places we have members of the IPA who are without anything, and it continues to rain, roads cut, without electricity, without communication. Besieged people are on top of buildings and trees. We have trouble communicating for more detailed information on how many IPA members or other members of the Police who have died or been injured. However, the Government, local authorities, International Partners and friends of Mozambique are on the ground monitoring the situation in order to help the population. Parents need Solidarity and support from all in whatever they can to minimize the suffering of the victims.

We thank you in advance for your generosity.
