IEB meeting – Thank you IPA Estonia

IMG 5962The International Executive Board held its 2nd meeting of the year in Tallinn, Estonia, from 15-19 June 2019. As usual, our agenda was quite full, but the allocated time allowed us to cover all items. In addition to the regular topics, we also had to prepare for the forthcoming IPA World Congress, which will take place in October in Croatia. All documents for the Congress, as stipulated in our International Rules, have to be sent to all sections and participants 80 days before the start of the congress, i.e. this year by 22 July. A number of sections had submitted several motions within the deadline, and as usual, the IEB prepared their recommendations for these, so that the delegates are aware of the position of the international board on the proposals presented.

Croatia will mark the end of a 4-year term for the current board members, and elections will take place at the end of the IPA World Congress, on Friday 11 October 2019.  This is always an interesting and exciting moment. Many candidates will hopefully submit their applications and promote their candidatures for the 8 positions athumbnail image1vailable on the International Executive Board, plus the 2 positions of Internal Auditors, and who knows maybe one Adviser J. The deadline for submitting the official forms as candidates is 11 July 2019. For anyone interested in applying, please remember to send your form in on time!

Apart from the official part of our meeting in Estonia, we were happy to spend several social moments with our hosts, and I would like to seize the chance to warmly thank Uno Laas, President of IPA Estonia, as well as his team and all members of his section, for the wonderful welcome, the time spent with us and the visits to the beautiful capital city. This free time spent together was a real tribute to the IPA spirit, and we all enjoyed it a lot. Thank you IPA Estonia, your Viking souls are full of generosity and kindness.

Finally let me wish all those of you who just started the summer season, happy holidays; and for those who just embraced the beginning of winter, well the same J

Best wishes,

Pierre-Martin Moulin, IPA President
