IPA Newsletter May 2020 - Last word

31 May 2020

lwmay3I would like to say a big thank-you to everyone who has sent in articles for this month’s Newsletter. In ‘normal’ times, we receive plenty of articles on sports events and social gatherings, showing the variety of opportunities the IPA offers to all its members.

With the coronavirus pandemic, all these events stopped in an instant, and I have to admit that I became a little worried about what we could feature in our news each month.

Not in a million years would I have imagined the response you can see in this month’s edition! Thank you to each and every one of you. And keep your articles coming!

While here in the UK we are now in our 6th week of lockdown and working from home, it is great to see the efforts many IPA members are making to help wherever they can:  be it by ensuring the streets are safe, providing donations for good causes, giving blood, handing out safety advice, or encouraging everyone to stay at home while you are out on patrol.

Luckily, given the restrictions of movement we have been given, we have been able to enjoy glorious weather these past few weeks – I therefore would like to share a couple of photos from my favourite corner of our garden with you: a little bench under an apple tree, where I escape with a good book when not working for the IPA 😊
