John Korsel from IPA Netherlands is appointed as Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau

IPA Netherlands are extremely proud to announce that on 24 April 2020, His Majesty the King of the Netherlands appointed John Korsel as Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau.

John has been a very active board member of the Dutch IPA section for many years, and the National Board of the IPA in the Netherlands congratulates John on this royal award!

Since 1815, many Dutch citizens have received a royal medal during the yearly awarding of recognitions. Traditionally, this always takes place on the day before King's Day - the day when many people receive a royal recognition for their special services to society. 'It pleases His Majesty..." is the beginning of the sentence that more than 2800 Dutch citizens will hear on this special day from the mayor of they town they live in.

The order is a chivalric order open to "everyone who has earned special merits for society". These are people who deserve appreciation and recognition from society for the special way in which they have carried out their activities.
